As with last year, the event was a rip-roaring success and we would like to thank all the speed daters who took part. Speed Dating at Anexo
This event was an all round success. Over 40 girls and guys spent their evening laying on their best chat up lines in search of their perfect match. Some, I believe, took the dating further into the night so lets just hope the booze didn't detrimentally blur their vision and a second evening together is on the cards.
A big thank you to all those who attended the evening and to Lipson Lloyd Jones for sponsoring the event. A total of £400 was raised for Disabled Sports Events.

London Lawyer Ball 2008
This event - held at the Millennium Mayfair hotel on 4th April 2008 - was a fantastic success. Thanks to all our sponsors and to those who donated prizes to the raffle. We raised £1,020 for the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society - a great result.

LYLG City Golf Event
A big thank you to Lipson Lloyd Jones for hosting the fantastic evening at City Golf on Wednesday 21st March and providing generous prizes for the raffle, the player nearest to the hole and the longest drive (a staggering 314 yards!). The event was such a success that there is talk of hosting another round of virtual golf on their state-of-the-art simulators in the near future (including a mooted women-only event). LYLG Charity Pub Quiz for Shelter
Thank you to everyone who took part in the Shelter Legal Sector Pub Quiz on 1 March at the Bung Hole Cellars in Holborn and helped to make the evening such a success.
Congratulations to the winning team The Young Barristers' Committee who won a hamper of goodies. The runners-up were Shelter who won a bottle of wine each.
Charity Speed Dating
The event was held on Tuesday 6th February, at The Evangelist bar, St Paul's.

Thanks also to our sponsors, Lipson Lloyd Jones who provided a fabulous goodie bag to each participant and a magnum of champagne to the winner of the business card raffle! All proceeds will be going to our chosen charity, Childline, which celebrated its 20th birthday last October.
Pool Tournament
The Annual LYLG Pool Tournament held at Calico on 18th January 2007 was a resounding success.
Congratulations to the Winners Lee Kendsall and Edmund Grobel from Norton Rose (pictured below flanked by LYLG's very own Kate Richardson and Jude Perkins). They received the LYLG Pool Competition cup and a bottle of bubbly each. The Runners-Up were Ben Eastham and Oliver Hincks from Reynolds Porter Chamberlain.
