Join the team: Ambassador and Committee Applications are open!

If you are a legal professional working or studying in or around London, please consider applying below for our COMMITTEE MEMBER roles. The LYLG community is student level up to 7 PQE.

DEADLINE: Wednesday 18 January 2023 2pm.

That's right! We are recruiting new committee members. The LYLG has been running for over 10 years now and has hosted a range of exciting events (educational seminars, panel discussions, boat parties, networking at the Supreme Court, and much more!). Moving forward, the LYLG committee wants to continue the good work and use the community to raise awareness of important causes, contribute to a more inclusive industry and provide attendees with the opportunity to grow in a safe space.

What's involved? As a LYLG committee member, you will play a key role in organising regular events in the City of London in collaboration with our partners. You will build connections within the legal industry amongst peers, law firms, recruiters, thought-leaders, chambers and more.

Skills required: commitment, enthusiasm, leadership, teamwork, communication, using own initiative. To emphasise, this position is a time commitment and we need people to contribute equally to support the other committee members. It's a fun role but we need all hands on deck!

Requirements: you should be a legal professional or student (including, LPC/GDL student, paralegal, legal apprentice, trainee, undertaking the SQE training programme or a qualified solicitor). We encourage you to be living in or commutable to London so you can reap the benefits of being part of the team and attend our events hosted in the City. You need to have the passion, interest and motivations for our purpose!

Amongst developing your skills, this is a fantastic opportunity to meet peers in the industry, grow your own personal brand, work with our sponsors (law firms, recruiters, chambers, etc.) and be proud of contributing to our collaborative legal community. We encourage and welcome your ideas!

Data protection: please note that we may use your personal data for committee recruitment purposes to enable us to process applications for joining the LYLG committee submitted via our website at to assess your suitability for joining the LYLG committee. The LYLG organisation will process your personal data on a legitimate interest basis to ensure that we can make the most appropriate committee recruitment decisions for the LYLG organisation.
